Kingdom Quest: Week 7

Forgiveness is one of the hardest things we are called to do, but the missing piece is not willpower. It is grace. In Matthew 18, Jesus tells the parable of an unforgiving servant to show what happens when we receive forgiveness but refuse to extend it. The servant was released from an impossible debt, yet turned around and imprisoned someone who owed him far less. When we truly understand the weight of what God has forgiven us through Jesus Christ, something breaks open inside us. That understanding is the catalyst that makes forgiveness possible. Grace is not just something we receive once. It is something we must continually remember so it continues to change us. As we receive grace, remember grace, and release grace, we become the light and the catalyst for others.
